A couple weeks ago, we announced the official launch of the Abundant Platform—bringing together our Venture Funds, Venture Studio, and Alliance of leading health system partners to reshape how healthcare ventures are built and scaled.

Our launch was featured in the media Endpoints News, Becker’s and Healthcare Innovation, and we also issued a formal press release to mark this milestone. While this is a proud moment for our team, it’s just the beginning.

At Abundant, we believe that true innovation in healthcare requires collaboration at every level. By uniting former start-up entrepreneurs and operators, health system executives, and venture capitalists, we’re building ventures that are not only bold in vision but grounded in pragmatic focus — de-risked from the start and designed for adoption and impact.

What differentiates our approach is our collaboration model. Before we invest a dollar, a company is screened by our Alliance of health systems, tested for feasibility, aligned with strategic needs, backed by other committed co-development partners, and hardwired with implementation conditions that drive value for our health system partners.

This past month, we had the privilege of hosting 70 health system leaders at our annual summit. The energy, ideas, and alignment in the room were a powerful reflection of what’s possible when great minds come together around a shared mission. Some of our favorite responses came from a summit survey question, “Describe our work in one word.” The answers —Collaborative, Experienced, Partner, Impactful, Super-Connector, Future, Focused, Bold, Innovative, Fun, Engaging—capture the spirit of the work we do together. We’re deeply grateful to each of you for your partnership in the platform, your belief in this model, and your commitment to building what’s next in healthcare.

On the heels of the announcement, we officially launched Auxira Health under the Abundant Platform model. The concept for Auxira was initially developed by MedStar Health as part of its Connected Cardiology program. When early outcomes showed broader promise, MedStar worked with Abundant to refine and bring this new company to market, with MedStar becoming an Auxira co-developer, anchor customer, and strategic investor. You can read more about it here.

And there’s more to come.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re creating a new kind of collaboration model—one built for lasting impact.
